Containing rapping, "One Woman Army" follows the verse - refrain structure common in pop music, and has been attributed to many different musical genres, including pop rock, emo pop, and electro. "One Woman Army" peaked at 14 on the French Singles Chart, and topped the country's iTunes chart, becoming her first number-one hit. The song was also a top-forty hit in Belgium and Spain. Critics praised the song. The song was featured as Popjustice's "Big Song" and "Song of the Week".
